Job Summary
As the General Manager of Fieldwork Mission Rock,
you will be the driving force behind our taproom’s success,
overseeing all aspects of operations, performance, and guest experience.
This pivotal role demands a dynamic leader with a proven track record
in fast-paced, high-volume environments who can inspire a team,
enhance operational efficiency, and cultivate a vibrant atmosphere
that embodies our brand’s values while maximizing sales and profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Direct daily taproom operations, ensuring excellence in service, staffing, and floor management in a high-pressure environment.
- Team Development: Mentor, train, and motivate taproom staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences, fostering a culture of service excellence even during peak hours.
- Financial Stewardship: Analyze sales performance and manage labor costs, inventory, and controllable expenses to drive profitability in a high-traffic setting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all alcohol service laws, health, and safety regulations, alongside company policies.
- Operational Excellence: Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation, enhancing the overall guest experience during busy service periods.
- Collaborative Initiatives: Partner with brewery, marketing, and events teams to effectively execute promotions, product launches, and special events, with a focus on maximizing guest engagement in a high-volume context.
- Guest Relations: Proactively address guest concerns and resolve issues with a focus on customer satisfaction, even under pressure.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators, including sales, labor, and inventory metrics, to inform strategic decisions.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with vendors to optimize taproom operations in a bustling environment.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the taproom.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and manage teams effectively in fast-paced settings, driving high levels of performance.
- Outstanding Communication: Proficient in engaging with guests and staff, demonstrating superior customer service skills in a dynamic environment.
- Strong Financial Acumen: Robust understanding of financial principles and operational management, including scheduling and cost control.
- Decisive Problem-Solving: Ability to make well-informed decisions in a rapidly changing, guest-centric environment.
- Meticulous Organization: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, especially during peak service times.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in fast-paced hospitality, food and beverage, or retail, with a preference for brewery or bar experience in high-volume locations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of alcohol service laws and responsible beverage service practices.
- Experienced with POS systems, inventory management, and scheduling tools.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the location during shifts.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with guests and staff in a bustling environment.
- Capacity to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
